2022–2023 Parent untaxed income verification

If this item is listed under your Financing Tasks in My ASU, your financial aid awarding and disbursement will be placed on hold until you provide the information requested.

Why this is needed

Due to conflicting information or changes made to your FAFSA, please clarify the amount of untaxed income your parent(s) received in 2020.

The items below are considered untaxed income.

  • Tax-deferred pension and retirement savings plans.
  • Child support received.
  • Military living allowances.
  • Veteran noneducation benefits.
  • Other untaxed income not reported above, such as workers’ compensation, disability benefits, Black Lung Benefits, Refugee Assistance, untaxed portions of Railroad Retirement Benefits, and foreign income that wasn’t taxed by any government and isn’t part of Foreign Earned Income Exclusion.

This form must be completed by the parent(s) you listed on your FAFSA. You will need to give these parents guest access to My ASU in order for them to view and complete the form. To grant your parent guest access, visit My ASU - Add a GuestUnder Finances, check the box next to View my tasks. Once you provide guest access, your parent will need to complete the Parent Signature Verification task in order to sign and complete forms electronically.

You can view your document status on your My ASU's Finances tab in My ASU. Please allow two to three business days for receipt to show in your Financing Tasks.
