Loan Exit Counseling
Loan Exit Counseling is required for all students who have borrowed a Federal Direct Loan and are close to graduation, have dropped to less than half time, or are no longer enrolled. You must complete your Loan Exit Counseling if you are being requested to do so on your My ASU To Do list, regardless if you are graduating.
Each time you completely withdraw from a term or drop below half time enrollment in a term, you are required to complete Loan Exit Counseling. If you previously completed Exit Counseling on iGrad and are required to take again, you must click on Retake Course from the Exit Counseling course page and indicate that your situation has changed in order to complete the new task
Loan Exit Counseling provides you with deferment, forbearance and consolidation information if you decide to return to school or you are unable to make your payments for any reason. Explanations of the different repayment programs, repayment calculators, important terminology and several other valuable resources are also part of the process.
