Instructions

  • Included with the form.

Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grants (IASG) are for undergraduate students who are not Federal Pell Grant eligible; whose parent or guardian died as a result of military service in Iraq or Afghanistan after September 11, 2001; and who, at the time of the parent's or guardian's death, were less than 24 years old or were enrolled at least part time at an institution of higher education.

Only complete this form if you have a To Do item listed in My ASU. This online form is required when a student is a financial aid recipient and has initiated a complete withdrawal. Submissions must be made within 5 days of initiating a withdrawal.

Short-term loans are available through the Short-Term Loan Program for students experiencing emergency financial situations. Short-term loans are also available for books if a financial aid disbursement is delayed. A short-term loan is typically $500 per semester. If a student has greater need, we will review those on a case-by-case basis.

Eligibility requirements

You must be a currently enrolled student at Arizona State University and be admitted to a degree-seeking or certificate program.

Consortium agreements enable ASU degree-seeking students to participate in financial aid programs while concurrently attending ASU and another accredited higher education institution. ASU reserves the right to not enter into a consortium agreement if, in the opinion of ASU's Financial Aid and Scholarship Services, that consortium agreement would be administratively prohibitive. Consortium agreements assist in receiving additional financial aid, not for the deferment of loans.

This form is used to request consideration for a Federal TEACH Grant if you were not automatically awarded one once ASU receives your FAFSA and all requested items are complete. Requests do not guarantee awarding of the Federal TEACH Grant. Financial Aid and Scholarships Services will determine your eligibility for the Federal TEACH Grant based on your citizenship status, academic program and academic requirements.

Note: Please do not send requests for summer until after you have been awarded summer financial aid.

This form is for students who must complete preparatory coursework to qualify for admission into a degree program at Arizona State University and are seeking financial aid. Students must be enrolled at least half-time and are considered only for Federal Direct Loans for a time period of no more than 12 consecutive months. Taking coursework to raise your GPA in order to be admitted does not qualify under this exception.
