Emergency short-term loan application

Purpose

Short-term loans are available through the Short-Term Loan Program for students experiencing emergency financial situations. Short-term loans are also available for books if a financial aid disbursement is delayed. A short-term loan is typically $500 per semester. If a student has greater need, we will review those on a case-by-case basis.

Eligibility requirements

You must be a currently enrolled student at Arizona State University and be admitted to a degree-seeking or certificate program.

Instructions

Complete and submit online. Do one of the following:

For approved emergency short-term loan applications submitted before 2:30 p.m., you will receive an email from Student Business Services to your ASU email address within three business days. Once processed, your funds will be directly deposited to your bank account. If you are not set up for direct deposit, your check will be mailed to the mailing address listed on My ASU. If you have not received an email from SBS within three days, please contact SBS at 855-278-5080.
