PLUS loan default
If this item is listed under your Financing Tasks in My ASU, your financial aid disbursement will be placed on hold until your parent(s) provide the information requested.
Why this is needed:
Your parent checked Yes to the defaulted loan question on the Federal Direct PLUS Loan application. In order to continue processing your Federal Direct PLUS loan, your parent will need to complete the Parent PLUS default form.
Instructions:
Your parent must confirm if they are currently in default or have since resolved their default status on their federal student/parent loan(s).
This form must be completed by the parent who applied for the PLUS loan. You will need to provide the parent listed on your FAFSA guest access to My ASU in order for them to electronically complete and sign parent forms. To provide guest access, complete the Parent Guest Access checklist, if you have not already done so. Once you provide guest access, your parent will need to complete the Parent Signature Verification checklist in order to begin to sign and complete forms electronically.
You can view your document status on My ASU’s Finances tab. Please allow two to three business days from when you submit it for its receipt to show in your Financing Tasks.
