2024-2025 Student income reduction review

We are currently processing Student income reduction reviews for the 2024-2025 academic year at ASU. Please be advised that any changes to financial aid awards resulting from a completed student review will be available starting in mid-July. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

About the Student Income Reduction Review:

The Student Income Reduction Review allows students to inform ASU if their financial situation has changed since 2022, the year of income reported on the FAFSA. Use this form only if there has been a significant change in your family's overall financial strength.

What happens next:

ASU will review the submitted information and supporting documentation to see if it affects your Student Aid Index* (SAI), which is based on your FAFSA. If the review is approved, your FAFSA and SAI will be updated with the new information.

If you have questions please schedule a financial aid appointment .

Important Notes:

  • If your SAI is negative or zero, you do not need to submit this eForm. Your SAI cannot be lowered further, and you have already been offered the maximum amount of aid.
  • Changes from this review do not guarantee an increase in aid.
  • If a dependent student experiences a loss of income that does not significantly affect the family's combined income (parents' income), it may not impact the student's financial aid eligibility.
  • If your current situation is not listed on the eForm and you want to check if it is reviewable, please contact us. A counselor will evaluate your situation, but not all situations are reviewable under federal regulations.
  • Reviews will only be processed once your financial aid file is complete and your financial aid has been awarded.
  • If you have received aid up to your cost of attendance (financial aid budget) and want to request an increase, you must submit a Student Budget Review eForm.
  • University employees reviewing financial aid forms are mandatory reporters. Specific information related to acts of sexual harassment, which includes sexual assault, dating/domestic violence and stalking, committed by an ASU student or employee, or that happened on ASU property, or in an ASU program or activity, must be reported. Information about campus resources including advocacy assistance and confidential counseling and confidential victim-survivor advocacy can be found at https://sexualviolenceprevention.asu.edu/resources. For more information about mandatory reporting at ASU, review the FAQs here.

*The Student Aid Index measures your family's financial strength and helps determine your eligibility for need-based aid for one academic year. Your SAI is calculated using the information from your FAFSA. You can view your SAI on your FAFSA submission summary.
